A Profound Exchange between Academia and Business ---- Prof. Edward Glaeser from Harward University Witnessed LianTronics’ Achievements

18th May, 2016, Prof. Edward Glaeser from Harvard University together with Prof. Yang Jiawen and Liuzhi from Peking University had an investigation tour to LianTronics manufacturing base in Daya Bay. In LianTronics head office, the professors had a profound and significative exchange and discussion with some LianTronics colleagues.

In the morning, LianTronics senior management and receptionists showed Prof. Edward Glaeser around LianTronics’ office and showroom. LianTronics LED display products, development history and analysis of current LED display industry were all demonstrationed elaborately for the visitors who were sepecially interested in LianTronics entrepreneurial process, such as company establishment, financing and merger after being listed, the query about the market value and so on. Meanwhile, they also had strong interest in LianTronics continuous merger by raising some questions like: what is LianTronics’ plan for future transition? What kind of companies will Liantronics choose to acquire? How to correctly select the acquisition targets? LianTronics board secretary gave detailed answers to these questions.

In the afternoon, the visitors went to visit LianTronics Daya Bay manufacturing base. After touring around LianTronics 80,000㎡ manufacture center and the fine-pitch prodution line, they were impressed by large-scale production and advanced automation equipment, raising up the thumbs without reservation. The technology and development trend of fine-pitch LED display aroused their great interest.

Edward Glaeser is the Professor of Economics in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University, where he has taught since 1992. He regularly teaches microeconomics theory. He has served as Director of the Taubman Center, and Director of the Rappaport Institute. He has published dozens of papers on cities economic growth, law, and economics. Prof. Yang Jiawen and Liuzhi from Peking University are authorities in the field of related industry in domestic. In order to investigate current developing status of China industry for improving their academic research, Prof. Edward Glaeser and other professors made a tour to the world-leading LED display manufacturer – LianTronics.
